This unit of competency supports the work of licensed real estate agents and real estate representatives, and support staff engaged in processing applications from tenants for the lease of all forms of property. The work is performed under supervision in line with agency practice and relevant legislative requirements.
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to process applications from tenants for the lease of all forms of property. It includes completing managing agent documentation, receiving applications from tenants, selecting tenants, completing leasing documentation, placing tenants in the property and processing receipt of security deposits and rent.
The unit may form part of the licensing requirements for persons engaged in real estate activities in those States and Territories where these are regulated activities.
